I just added these live rocks into my nano. What do you guys think? would you put smaller live rock in it or is this cool? Water is still cloudy and I took the pics with my cell phone.I transferred my live rock, sand and water from a 55 gallon I have. Its my first nano and I wanted to make sure I had enough live rock in it. I have 35 to 40 pounds in it. The big rock on top is 20 pounds alone. I like having all the space on top for corals.

Looks good to me, but you'll change it. We never seem to be happy with the aquascaping :) Even when you think you have it just right there will be something about you don't.

Looks good. Make sure there is plenty of water movement around the structure to avoid dead spots where algae can get a foot-hold.

Heres some morning pics. And a picture of my starfish at three in the morning, he had a long night. Im waiting for my pair of mj 900 to arrive today.

I have about 12 zoa frags that I bought from another reefer, What glu can I buy at say Home Depot or other local stores? Preferably glue I can use underwater. Everything in this tank was transferred from my 55 g.

Tell me about it, I spent about 10 hours yesterday Transferring Items from my fiftyfive to my other fiftyfive and from that fifty five to this 25 aquapod. Now I got alot of rock left over.

I think it looks really good. As long as your water flow gets all the way around it, I would keep it that way.

Thanks jan, Im hoping the 2 mj 900 are enough. Im planning to keep zoas and mushrooms.

looks great man. I like the little arch in the front! In a 24, the mj's will probably work well for overall flow, but if it keeps your rocks clean, you will just have to see/adjust. Great work! That starfish looks hungover lol

what kind of starfish is that and will it get enough to eat in your 24 cube? It is pretty neat looking.

He is a red general star. He lives in my fiftyfive with his buddies. I took the pic when he was quarantined in my ten g.

Thanks, I'll probably have to adjust the lockline. Just waiting for the Fed Ex guy to bring me my Mj's. They are so much cheaper online. My Lfs wanted 34 a pop and I got them for 17 a pop plus shipping. I saved 27 dollars. Anyways my star looks like hes in the drunktank, lol.

Thanks krish, I used 3 pieces on the bottom and 1 on top. The one on top is 17" long and 9 inches wide.

I decided to redo the rock work

I wanted more space on the sand, watcha think. I love it. I had to crop this pic to fit. How do you just shrink it?

Yea im gonna keep it like this. It looks wide open now. Im not happy with the Mj 900's. I can barely feel the water pressure coming out of the y lockline. I cant afford extra heat in my tank if I go with a stronger pump. I modded the fans but my tank still reaches 82 degrees.

Hopefully it won't get much hotter than that. If it does you might want to consider one of those micro chillers.

When I had my 24gal aquapod, I was able to keep my temp down with just a single fan on a timer that cut off and on various times of the day. My aquapod however didn't have a lid or anything (open top) which made a huge difference. Hopw is your tank set up? Does it have an open top? Here's my old thread when I had the pod up and running. If you browse through at the pics you can see how I had the fan set up. Also, towards the end of the thread, you can see how I DIY'd the tank as well:)

Hey Krish my tank has a hood with the original Pc's in it. I saw your thread, pretty tight. Well I decided to open the top and hang my 175 MH over it to experiment. The result were amazing. My temp stayed at 78 Deg and I havent placed a fan over it yet. Im gonna have to buy a nice Pendant, all I have is the open reflecter that shines light from the sides. How did your light work out for you. Any ideas on a pendant or similar reflecter?
