So I set up my aquapod and it has been sitting for about 2 days. I added about 10 gallons of water from my main tank and also a little crushed coral from my refugium to seed the tank. Hopefully the cycle shouldn't take too long (if there is one at all). But my question today is that there is a lot of the contaminate build up on the water surface and it seems as if there is not enough pull through the back filtration to pull this from the top. I know that there are other aquapod owners and wonder how they got around this. Any information would help. THank you for your time.

if the aquapod is anything like my biocube it will have overflow vents at the top and the middle of the false wall correct? If this is the case block the lower vents with acrylic to firce the water thru the upper vents for better surface skim. also how are you running the returm pump? I put a locline split on mine with two of the wide fan nozzles on it and pointed one of them up and never had that problem again.
