Boomer,

Here are the numbers for this week. The tank seems stable still. The eff. from my reactor is down to @ 6.75 now. The PO4 chamber that I had running is dowon to a slow trickle now. Is this the time to add the Warner GFO? How much would you recommend for the 300 gallons? Still little to no sign of algae other than a very , very slight tint on one of the return loop locklines but that is right by the light.

11/17

PH - 8.23 and falls to around 8.17 with the reverse sump light
Sal. - 1.026 or 36
Tep.- 80.2
dKH - 10.6 or 3.77 meq/l
Mg - 1290
Ca - 425
NH4 - 0
No2 - .01
No3 - 10
PO4 - .1 (less than)

The weekly test thing gets pretty boring when you are really looking for a change and so I guess no news is somewhat good news on the test front as far as consistency.

Boomer,

11/24

PH - 8.20 and falls to around 8.1 with the reverse sump light
Sal. - 1.026 or 36
Tep.- 78.7
dKH - 11.2 or 4 meq/l
Mg - 1290
CA - 425
NH4 - 0
NO2 - no color
NO3 - 10
PO4 - .03 (less than very faint)
CA eff. - 6.84

Overall not a whole lot of change but the coraline is really coming on. I have dosed 4 gallons of kalk over the week and no WC still. Definite change on the NO2 and PO4. My PO4 reactor has stopped so I am figuring to go on the Warner marine stuff this week.

Coral growth is noticable now.

I have dosed 4 gallons of kalk over the week and no WC still. Change on the NO2. I have to get new PO4 media. Coral growth is definite. I had a big sally sightfoot die. May be part of the change. Is is time for a W/C yet?

nice tank man....at least once it gets sand:p

Do you still have the copper banded in there?

thanks, Augustus,
I had to trade back the bi-color (bigtime coral plucker), a big carpet ane, and I gave up the copperband at the same time. I have just started the tank and there was really nothing for him to eat so I didn't want to be the one starving him. He did excellent on the previous rock with aptasia but with all the changes I needed to keep the little guy in good health. This is the second one that I have had and they really need the established tank to keep health based on my experience. I will get one again someday because they are really cool to keep but the conditions need to be right. Are things getting better for your tank?

yah (finally)!
I got a QT and everything is doing really good, it is nice to have a change:). I was asking you about the copper banded becuase i recieved one in an order i placed. It seems to be doing great, it will eat clam, mysris, krill, and plankton. From everything that i have read i am one of the lucky ones (atleast so far).

Keep your tank looking good man:)
