I read a article a while back by Jeremy Gosnell. Jeremy is a writer/hobbyst for FAMA.
This is one of my favorite articles I have often wanted to share..
So here it is..

"Five ways to sustain the hobby". Here is the nickel tour.

Number one, you can raise Saltwater fish. Such as Clownfish, blennys, and return them for equipment, corals, food, or profit.

Number two, Fragging and Trading corals...You grow corals and trade them with friends for other corals, equipment, etc.

Number Three, Harvesting your own Macro Algae. You can sell or trade Macroalgae with pods for corals, food, money, etc.

Number Four, Raise Seahorses and trade or sell them for equipment, corals, food, etc...

Number Five, Helping your LFS. As a hobbyst, you read and enjoy the hobby.
You spend time helping out your local fish store. You help in areas you have experience in, sometimes you learn or they learn. You see new equipment available, learn hands on. You are in a window of information. You are doing a something you enjoy. Your pride is active doing the best to make LFS the most prominant. You and Owner work together to spark more eyes into a interesting hobby for young and old.

Ok, thats the nickel tour. I always wanted to share that.
thanks or you can read it yourself in FAMA October 2007 issue. I wish I could say I thought of this. But this is the works of Jeremy.
thanks for your time..:)

PS. As you read the above, please try to think of people around you that have done this.
thanks again,:)

Ed:)
