I am finally at a point where I am able to work on my new build. The house is finished, we are unpacked (except the fishroom), and I have some free time to get busy.

The tank is roughly 600g 96x48x30 with a C2C external overflow that is 96*9*9. 6 -2" holes in the overflow for drains. I am thinking of doing a BeanAnimal and if I do will probably ball valve off the other set of holes. The tank is also drilled on top for 4 Sea Swirls, 2 1.5" and 2 1". The 1.5" holes are on the back corners and the 1" holes are in the center. I also have holes drilled on the back for a closed loop. I originally planned for this tank to be a reef tank, hence all the holes for flow, but later decided that I wanted to do an angel tank with 4-6 maybe a few more angels, a few triggers, tangs, few puffers and misc others.

For sumps I have an old 220g that was converted to a sump for my old tank, and 2 100g Rubbermaid tanks. I was thinking that the 220 will be used as the central sump where the lines drain and return to the tank, the 100g's will be fed by a smaller pump and will hold live rock in one and the equipment in the other.

Equipment:
All my filtration is Bashsea made. I have a 10-36" dual injected twisted skimmer, 8-48" Bio Reactor, Pellet Master 3, and 3 18" media reactors. I also have a UV sterilizer.

Lighting:
I have 8 AI Sol LED units and if I want to supplement the light for different color options I have 8-48" T5's. These will be housed in a rack that each light can be adjusted forward and backward and also side to side. The rack will be on a rail system that will allow me to completely move it to the side of the tank for service.

Water changing station will consist of 2 200g vertical tanks plumbed for dry hands water changes.

A few pics of what I have done so far.

I am always open to suggestions or questions. I have learned a lot by crusing these forums and have gotten some amazing advice, so if I can I will return the favor.

Looks like it's going to be awesome! I'm a big fan of those water change tanks... mind if I ask where you got them?

You can do a reef with angels and triggers, some puffers :) Choose the fish and corals carefully, but there's no greater thing than seeing large angels in a reef IMO.

I got them here locally, but went through a distributer, might have been tanksdirect but not 100% sure. I might do some softies and anemones but probably no lps or sps, the angels I want enjoy them too much.

Wow 600 gallons, now I'm jealous may be Someday. If I hit the jackpot. Looking great tagging along, keep the picture coming

Ami, there is a wholesaler in Mt. Vernon.

I got a 165g vat there, it is where I mix my saltwater

my motto, if you are going big, go all the way. :)

Awesome! Thank you both for the info. I was originally planning on building a rack for 3 or 4 55g plastic food grade drums (my husband gets them for free from work), but these bigger tanks would be a more efficient use of space I think. Anyway, don't want to steal your thread :) Your tank is going to be amazing.

Ami,

IIRC, Berg Vault is a wholesaler for the link that Dustin gave you and they are local...

FWIW, a 165g vat is able to fit in a Honda Odyssey van :)

Tagging along to watch the progress. That's a big "lam-beam" above your tank. Was the house built with the intention of the tank being inserted there, or did you have to add the hole later? I can't wait to see how your filtration room turns out.

I actually had the house built around the tank. The tank was ordered prior to construction starting. So the hole was there along with all the extra outlets, and ventilation

Few updates on my slow build. First, I got the mixing station plumbed and ready to be fired up, just need to move it into its final position and plumb the drain/overflow lines.

Next I got my liverock tank and reactor tank plumbed up. I will be able to isolate either tank and also drain either tank for water changes.

Finally I have the light rail rack complete less the T5's which at this point I am not sure I will put on there since this will be a FOWLR. Also I do not have the lights programmed currently.

Very nice system you have going there Crazy.
Are you going to seal the lid above your lights? Going to be some moisture wanting to hang out up there. Maybe some good air circulation in that area would be a good alternative.
You can tell you have done your homework and lots of planning.
Looking good!!

I'm not planning on sealing the lids, but I do have an exhaust fan that sucks the air outside. Homework and about 2 years of planning.

Incredible for sure-I sure wish I could upgrade my tank to something bigger, like 96x96x27

Cant wait to see this progress!

Got a few updates. Been working on my plumbing the last few weeks and finally got it done...except for the closed loop inside the tank.
Not exactly how I want it, but will work for now.

Shot of the light rack from above, still considering throwing some T5's on there for color

Right side (left to right) Main siphon, return, open channel. Below is Closed loop pump and plumbing #1

Left side (left to right) Emergency, open channel, main siphon. Below is Closed loop pump and plumbing #2

Return plumbing line with 1.5" Sea Swirls

Waveline Controllers (temporary until a 0-10v interface comes out)

:) I keep eying some beauties on Divers Den, takes a lot to hold back on buying them until I know I wont have issues once the tank gets fully wet.
