I am finally at a point where I am able to work on my new build. The house is finished, we are unpacked (except the fishroom), and I have some free time to get busy.
The tank is roughly 600g 96x48x30 with a C2C external overflow that is 96*9*9. 6 -2" holes in the overflow for drains. I am thinking of doing a BeanAnimal and if I do will probably ball valve off the other set of holes. The tank is also drilled on top for 4 Sea Swirls, 2 1.5" and 2 1". The 1.5" holes are on the back corners and the 1" holes are in the center. I also have holes drilled on the back for a closed loop. I originally planned for this tank to be a reef tank, hence all the holes for flow, but later decided that I wanted to do an angel tank with 4-6 maybe a few more angels, a few triggers, tangs, few puffers and misc others.
For sumps I have an old 220g that was converted to a sump for my old tank, and 2 100g Rubbermaid tanks. I was thinking that the 220 will be used as the central sump where the lines drain and return to the tank, the 100g's will be fed by a smaller pump and will hold live rock in one and the equipment in the other.
Equipment:
All my filtration is Bashsea made. I have a 10-36" dual injected twisted skimmer, 8-48" Bio Reactor, Pellet Master 3, and 3 18" media reactors. I also have a UV sterilizer.
Lighting:
I have 8 AI Sol LED units and if I want to supplement the light for different color options I have 8-48" T5's. These will be housed in a rack that each light can be adjusted forward and backward and also side to side. The rack will be on a rail system that will allow me to completely move it to the side of the tank for service.
Water changing station will consist of 2 200g vertical tanks plumbed for dry hands water changes.
A few pics of what I have done so far.
