It has been 3 1/2 years since we set-up our 65g. 45g frag tank was set-up last August 'cause it was inconvenient to have a 24g aquapod upstairs and it gotten too small.

65g FTS as of 11/09. Recently shuffled a few things around but haven't change much.

65g, overflows to the back. It's a Uniquarium tank.

45g frag tank as of 11/09. Moved all corals from 24g and some "don't know where to place corals" from 65g.

woweee!!!!!!!!! Better than a candystore!!!!

You have no idea just how accurate that statement is!!

Angie, Madison and I, recently had the enjoyable privilege of getting to visit Caitlen and her family, again. Madison had a great time, doing crafts with their kids, while Angie and I spent our time visiting and drooling over these amazing, I might even say "elite" tanks. You've heard about floors so clean that you can eat off of them? That describers these tanks!! I wish the cleanliness of our tanks was a fraction of these...lol. Of course, we also came home with some beautiful frags!! You just don't get an idea of how beautiful this 65 gallon reef tank is, until you're looking at it in person. Of course, while there, I had to get the camera out, so here's some pictures.

Believe it or not, there is live rock in there. It's hidden behind all the gorgeous corals!!

Thank you for your kind words. And thanks Micheal for posting some great pics for me!

My frag tank is turning 1 year old. I have moved colonies from 65g to this tank.....would love to have a bigger display tank.

I need to pick up some more corals from that 45 :p since I got better lighting!

Setting the bar rather high

You have an incredibly beautiful tank. The array of color and variety is astonishing, I hope you dont mind but I am using your FTS as my computer wallpaper for now.

Being a 65 Gallon it is close to the size of my tank and it gives me something to shoot for, something to emulate, at least to know what is possible. I am very curious as to how you keep such an abundance of live happy and healthy, would you share your system specs including dosing, supplements, and all. I included a list below of things I am most interested to know.. thanks so much
Ichthys

Lighting
Skimmer
flow
reactors, kalk/phosban/other
chiller
fuge
controller
supplements
feeding
dosing
salt mix
water changes

magic?

Time for an update....I have not done much last couple months except maybe 2 water changes and try to keep up with dosing.
This weekend I removed a thin layer of sand and added new sand, love how white and clean it looks. I bought 4 fighting conch, hope they will keep the sandbed sparkling!
Something stung me pretty bad while cleaning the tank.....large rash going away today and a small cut that really hurts.
Some pics.....

Simply amazing how all the colors pop and how you've filled the tank but yet it doesn't seem overcrowded. Almost as if you've taken a slice out of the oean refs and placed it in a tank. :p Gives me a lot of inspiration for my 65 that I am working on.

Cheers,
Alex

Amazing as always.
To see it in person is even more amazing.
I am just in awe of the coral growth in that tank.

Really nice display and frag tank. You should start selling some and finance the new display :)
I love the flower anemone

Thanks everyone.
Sorry I haven't gone in a whole lot of details....I guess I try to keep things pretty simply and don't have a lot of equipment.
Lighting: 250w MH and (2) 65w actinics
Skimmer: none at the moment
flow: Vortech mp40, k3 against back wall
reactors, kalk/phosban/other: none, manual dosing
chiller: 1/10H
fuge: uniaquarium tank, overflow to back of tank, see pic on page 1
supplements: Seachem reef plus
feeding: frozen, flakes, pellets, try to turkey base corals twice a week
salt mix: Reef Crystals
water changes: 4-9 weeks, 15-20%
magic? wish there's magic sprinkles

Maintenance has been minimal since I glued down things, much nicer not having my hands in the tank all the time. Couple more pics.
