70W halide Good? Bad? or Ugly?

how hot is it where you guys live?
my 10 never hits 81 and the room gets up in to the mid 70's


i hung my sunpod from the ceiling,

I'm in Edmonds Washington, 20 miles north of Seattle. My room temp today is around 81 F and my 20H tank is at 79.7 F and the 7 gallon Minibow is at 78.8.

No fan or chiller running on the 20H but I do have a ReefKeeper 2 on it and on the 7 gallon I have a little Honeywell Tonado fan blowing across the lights to keep the temp at the 78 degree mark.

the room temp is makeing the diffrence there,

when my room reach's 79 the fans are runing..

i also have 2 rk2's on the tanks,

t5 4 bulb all the way...you only have 12"of depth for light to penetrate...
you can grow anything with that fixture and have better color control.
...i know current makes a 30" sundial fixture(individual reflected t5 + led moonlight, fans, and timers built in)

Hey Mark,

What bulbs would you recommend for a 4 bulb set up and what about bulb choice for a 5 bulb set up?

I am really tempting a diy light fixture for this so no holds on this one. *lol* Within reason anyway.
