Heres my 2.5g pico i set up tonight. I used a top fin 20 i had laying around and have a 25 watt heater i also had laying around. Used water from my reef as well as the rock. I got the sand from a friends mantis tank. The light is a coralife PC. Let me know what you think. Thanks go to rothany for the inspiration.

Shirts hats bumper stickers! We are takin over! Lol! Im just using a Top Fin 20 power filter. You can replace the carbon in the bag with fresh carbon or whatever. It says it has a 100 gph pump, but i doubt that. Maybe ill take the pump off and check its flow.

I tested my parameters yesterday. Mag was a lil low. So i dosed it. Calcium and dkh were a lil low as well so i dosed for these as well. Well i should say...overdosed! Time for me to do a 50% water change...1 1/4g...lol.

Did my water change a couple days ago. MUCH BETTER!! Glad nothing was in it when i overdosed my tank. Parameters look grat now as well as temp and sg.

Those are very pretty!
Looking great!

Bummer for my pico. It crashed. Got real busy at home and job hunting and the lil guy didnt make it. I didnt loose any corals but they were pretty bad. They are back in my big tank now getting their color back. I took the acro validia (i remembered lorrie!) to the shark reef and eric has it in his display now. It was pretty brown when i took it but is a LOT happier now in his tank.

Sorry to hear...Unfortunately, the smaller the tank, the harder it is to maintain/keep stable.

Sittin dry in the closet. Funny you ask, i was just thinking about setting it up again, only this time using a aqua clear dilter modded for fuge use. Run a softy pico instead of trying it sps.
