you are killing me!!! :) beautiful shots! what kind of camera and how? :)

Danke. :)

I use a Canon Rebel XTi(And hopefully soon the T1i.), and for these(and the Lobo), a Tamron SP AF Di 90mm macro lens.

As for how? Umm.. I aimed at the coral, and hit the button?

I always try to get the coral as close to the glass as possible, and be as level with the coral/glass as possible to inhibit distortion. I typically use a low level flash, with a flash diffuser, a slow shutter speed so you don't get too much flash bounce, and an aperture between 6 and 12. Higher the aperture #, typically the more detail you're going to get.

marry me? :p
do you put the lens against the glass? damn i spent top $ and can't get these images :) .. you can see my fish tank live on http://24.16.40.189/main.cgi?next_file=main.htm

hehe sorry, already taken. ;)

No, not really. I'll sometimes balance with a finger in between the edge of the lens and the glass of the tank, but I don't like, put it flat against the glass or anything. Usually can't focus that close, even with the macro lens. lol.

Tried the link, my computer doesn't like it for some reason.
