A couple of questions about the Puratek 100 RODI unit

I went to their website and they say to contact a local retailer with questions about these units. We bought this slightly used from a fellow reefer and have a couple of questions now that we have used it for a while.

It seems the TDS meter may not be working. It is reading zero and has always read zero. We have used this unit for 9+ months so I checked it with our handheld TDS meter and I'm getting a 6-7ppm reading. Shouldn't the built in digital TDS be reading this as well? It is on the output side of the unit and I have pulled the sensor out and it all seems to be clear and clean. Any ideas?

I am trying to remove the canisters to replace the media and can't seem to break them loose. As far as I know I am turning them the right direction unless they are reverse thread or something. Any hints here as well. I don't want to break anything trying to force it.

Thanks for any assistance you can offer.

Hey guys
As for the TDS reading, I would double check against a third TDS meter just in case. If you happen to be swinging by our store someday you can simply drop off a ziplock bag of product water and we could test it with our meter. We have a 200gpd Puratek for our store and it does run 1-2 ppm different than our hand held meter. Next we would need to get in touch with Proline to see what can be done if it is the unit. They might be able to be calibrated.
Regarding the canister removal. Looking at the bottom side of each canister you would twist counter clockwise. You should have been given a canister wrench to aid in removing them. They seem to get really tight after the unit is used so when reinstalling them I would hand tighten them and add the slightest extra bit of muscle with the wrench. Hope this helps.
