So my percula clown has just not been himself lately. His attacks against the defenseless feather duster have increased and his relationship with Deb Flo (3 stripe humbug) is growing more distant. Has he reached that point in a young fishes life where he is ready to settle down and have a family? I would hate to drive a wedge between him and his humbug friend, but she has been shopping for new holes that are a studio, if you get my drift, while poor King Stripe becomes increasingly frustrated. There is two nice little Perculas I saw in Spokane one comparable in size and one very very much smaller. Is a friend a good idea? I'm thinking a name change is possibly in the near future..... Queen Stripe perhaps?

I have looked around on line and it seems to be a common consensus that it is hard to "make" a pair when one is already established and that they my not like each other ever and send my tank into a real uproar. Is that kind of the consensus here as well?

You will want to go with the smallest clownfish you can find :) Yours is likely a female already, so you will be searching for a new "Mr" for your "Mrs" hehe - it may take some time for her to accept the new addition, but you can do it!!

I'd recommend taking your existing clown and putting him in an isolation chamber within your tank, say an eggcrate box for a while once you introduce the new clown, that way the new one has time to get used to your tank and the surroundings before he has to defend himself against an angry (or maybe frustrated) larger clown :) hehe
