well about 4 years in the making.. ( and if you check with the old heads I posted this years and years ago) But Ive very slowly put together something that Ive thought out to the fullest extent

and altho these will just be the start to a new thread of mine.. here is the start of my 75g..

the story is this.. everything you see here is cheap or free.... ive built this for almost no cost...

i was so worried about my 30g my first tank.. that i didnt do it nice the first time... i ended up doing it twice... but

Ill let the pics do the talking with a lil commenting from me once and a while..

this will take some time to put together.

basic start info
90% of this tank was dry rock.. a box of 40lbs of dry base rock. meny lbs of dryed FIJI rock.. a 40lb box of dry FIJI

tunzes my old aqua C remora, my upgraded 2x150 sunpod. controllers, everything handed down... upgraded to a newer tank

this is where it all started... years back

this tank was the host for the dry rock to be come wet.

this is the current tank i got used.. 30 bucks AGA75 RR

the rock grew in here for about a year.. b4 being added to a 55G tank that i dont think i have an uploaded pic of..

wait i found it

you can see the 40lbs of dry FIJI

goes thur the wall in to a closest on the other side of the bassment

Ive skiped a bunch of months but i think where up to about 2 weeks ago...

Ive sinced replaced with new halmaton 14k's

kindda blue... but new pics to come soon

survivor of 3 days no power, left for dead... recovered in the drive way... now liveing in the sump

everything here almost everything was fraged and saved from a tank i tore down that was infected with broypsis... anyway ill keep this thread updated monthly or so.. and as i see new things.... very happy with this build.. much more effencent then my first. and so much more healthy..

and brown bob is still alive in there now... he's just so much harder to find...

sure thing... your looking at it tho..

the main tank s plumbed thur the wall the 2 black tubes you see on the left wall.. are the down and up tubeing...

the water enters the sump on the right goes under over theres a section where i was going to put my Ev skimmer.. but it turned out that my remora did the job so im not planing on buying a new skimmer at this time.. i might in the future...

the sump had nothing in it.. i was planing on just cheto .. but there was some rocks in the main tank that i didnt like... most of those are from the shores of NC outta banks.. but... then its simple pumped back in to the main tank...

the sump turn over is very lil... its slow flow
Im useing a mag 7 but will change to a 9.5. the ATO is there on the left

there is no sand.. all tho Im researching building a small 1.5 inch clear box outta plactic and makeing a small 5x5 sand box..

other then that its all natural Live rock filteration...

ask away... Ill be updating this thread weekly or by weekly

so!.. back to this one... better then spamming the main forums

Ive got a bunch on my plate....
We just bought a house... closing is this week...
Im all sorts of boxed up and stuff... the house (this house) is a mess on stacked boxes and stuff... and the only thing im really worried about is moving my tank..

the 30 was hard... now its twice as big and twice the rock...

its going to be very hard to get everything broken down and moved and then reset up... Its only about 5 miles from here but the problem i see is the amount of stuff to move...
Im unsure if im going to move the tank first or last... but either way, i have to get the Ro over there and filled... then ive gotta get all the extras over there...

then ive got to brake the tank down to buckets and water... move it all and get it back together as fast as possible

anyway... Im still maybe 3 weeks out from having to take this challenge on, The good news is that this tank will now be setup in the middle of the house where i can see it more and spend more time with it..

its been in the basement since we moved here 4 years ago.. and it has been neglected since... So im happy for that

I got a short spin urchin the other day... its so cool looking... all black with white tips.... seems to be happy running around eating coriline

yea i will... that looks like crap...

hold tight a few hours for the lights to come up

a couple of weeks ago... maybe later ill go down there and take some more pics and post em up

cheers
