Depends on who you ask...lol. IMO Caelurpa can be quite invasive and aggressive in a display tank. It grows very rapidly and can be hard to control and hard to keep it growing ONLY where you want it. It's great food for Tangs, Rabbitfish and other algae eating species of fish.

You can try fish but its more likely it will just take over your tank. If you get enough growing and it goes sexual it will be a desaster. Better off plucking it out.

I'd stick with Chaeto. Much safer and not as invasive.
Discovery or Science channel, can't remember which, recently had show on it's effect in France. Here is a clip:

A tang would be able to control that. In fact, chances are it would wipe it out in a days time. I have rocks in my fuge that have a couple different types of caulerpa on them. I switch them into the display once a month just to give the tangs some fresh seaweed to eat. Generally it's gone in a couple hours. Depending on the size of tank you have, a tang would love that stuff.
Thanks for sharing the video. I've always read that you need to be careful when disposing of plants and animals we hold in captivity. It's interesting to see that an algae sold regularly around these parts is banned in other states and causes so much damage around the world. http://www.sccat.net/
thats why australia quarintine is so insane i mena yesterday we got two angler fish in a shipment and they had to be desrotyed because there on the banned speices list so are all inverts imported in the country
i mean i cant get corals from bali,indo,phillipines or those places i only get aussies corals in australia just think your self lucky u can get almost anything u want for the hobby
