A question regarding the for sale forum...

I was trying to respond to a for sale thread this morning and I am quite perplexed...I completely understand the logic behind not being able to post NEW THREADS in this subforum but what ON EARTH is the logic behind not letting newer users(and if you'll notice my post count I'm not TOTALLY new) RESPOND to for sale threads?? I recognize that the need to make efforts at preventing just another garage sale resource to develop are necessary and I also realize that if just post another 25 or so times its a moot point but I personally think that
"pad posting" is equally undesirable behavior. I must reiterate that the majority of "active" threads here are build threads or tank porn, so I guess I'll fake my way through another 20+ "oohs and ahhhs" and be done with it but the policy seems unduly restrictive. Ok stepping off my soap box to go do a water change...

I am wondering the exact same thing! My husband had an account here years ago, but then we sold our tank and thought we were done... Well here we are again! Glad to be back but it's upsetting that we can't use the classifieds?!
