I like to give a big welcome to Dylan (Llarian) as our new Photography Moderator. I for one am looking forward to listening and learning from him.

thanks again Dylan

Awesome Dylan!! It is great to have you on Staff!!!

Thanks for the welcome Mike and Nikki, and thank you very much for having me on board. I'm honored. =)

I'm working on some basic photoshop tutorial threads to post here, starting with one to remove some of the blue cast from images that don't have their white balance quite correct. Nikki was kind enough to send me a couple pictures I can use for this, so I'll hopefully have it up in a day or two.

(I don't have PS Elements, so I don't know what the differences are for sure, but I'll try to do a little research and make sure to mention if I use a feature that's not available in Elements and what an alternative method might be)

If you have any photography questions, be in reef related or otherwise, please feel free to post them here and I'll do my best to answer them.

Thanks again for having me!

Welcome Aboard Dylan!
Its nice to see a new face. So you are going to take pix of the Babes in here?

Where did Nikki Go?

Llarian,

Hey Bud! Great to see you on board. The first time I asked you a photo question you made my head spin and yes that is a good thing. Hopefully you can help us all get some nice pics on the forum. Seems like I have to snap 50 to get one decent one. So perhaps you can help me narrow that down.

best,

-Erik

Llarian - I am thrilled about your photoshop tutorial. My photography skills are average, so it will be awesome to see what photoshop can do to a "so-so" picture. Glad I could help.

Where did Nikki Go?

LOL - am I forgotten already? ;)

Mojo! Hows it going? From aquarium advice I clicked on your signature and registered for this forum

SaltwaterTeen - Welcome to Reef Frontiers!! Glad you found us!

Not sure why you're asking in the Photography forum, but yellow algae usually refers to Zooxanthellae, which is the symbiotic algae used by photosynthetic corals for nutrients. There's lot of information about it throughout the other forums here.

O.K. I am going to RC and complain. :D we are *stealing* all the new reefers. :)
What I mean really is welcome. What a great place to be a part of, here at Reef Frontiers. AND I try to take pictures  Just ignore that other stuff I said before...just seems like there are so many new people.

So glad you are working here,
