Acan vacated its skeletal structure.

Has anyone had an acan vacate its skeletal structure. I had a piece with one head on it, one minute it was there then the next minute it was gone. I did some scouring through the tank and found it holding on to a piece of live rock. It seems to be holding on good. I have never had this happen checked all of my water parameters and every thing is spot on. I even took some down to the local fish store and had then read it just to make sure my kit was good. Any one out there with an explanation it would help out quite a bit.

Dang, that's pretty freaky. One of my acans had a piece of flesh bud off the main colony, but the colony was pretty good sized with multiple heads. I did not search for the bud, so I do know where it ended up.

It will be interesting to see if anyone can give a answer as to what is going on with your acan.
