Acclimating corals from PC to MH.

I'm due to receive my new light this week. It's a 150w 14K halide. I currently have 130 watts of PC over my tank and was wondering how I should acclimate the corals to the new halides. I've heard that using window screen helps, but how much screen and for how long should I acclimate everything??? Thanks in advance!

yah, i was lucky that i hardly had anything in my tank when i went from 440wts to 1200wts!!! otherwise it would have taken quite a bit of time.

I like to use a layer of eggcrate to hold up 4 layers of window screen material, removing one layer every 4 days.

where do you usually find eggcrate?

Home Depot or Lowes. It's called light defuser actually.

I would put your zoo's on the bottom for a while too if you have any. Most of my zoo's fade a lot under MH lighting
