Reef Setup
a mystery i be
Correct, believe me i did the whole drip thing and all that i think i was newb at adding corals at the time:lol:! My local friend called me out on it and i took his advice and from what he explained to me makes very good sense! Even when i order from unique corals there acclimation sheet specfically saids to float the corals as it's been sitting in its crap for 24 hrs the best way to acclimate the coral threw shock of shipment is to IMMEDIATLY get it out of the bag so temp then place in tank obvousily a dip method would be good as i do those to! JMO & what was told to me by experts! I have NEVER lost coral this way!!! Even ones that look like there on there death bed threw poor shipment still came back this way!Yeah I don't drip acclimate any corals just temp. To me it is a waste of time and effort. I mean when I frag my corals they are out of water for a few minutes or much longer. If you think about it the coral is now just in plain air with no water to hold its temperature. So now what? Do you have to drip acclimate the frag and colony to put it back into your tank? I don't think so! Thus the reason why I think it is a waste of time and effort. So for me just temp acclimate and they are good. Fish is a different story.
