Acrylic glue

I found a used sump and want to put in a baffle or two.
What glue do I need to use for it?
Sump is acrylic and Im either going to put in a few strips
(like a track) to hold a baffle or two or just glue in
the baffles.

Where is a good place to get the acrylic sheets?

I used weld on 4. I bought it at Tap Plastics in Bellevue, WA. I also used strips to help hold my baffles in the technique worked good. Take care to do your gluing horizontially not verticlly since the Weld On is more like water than glue. Also I used a syringe that came with my elos test kit as an applicator. I don't think there is a Tap near Post Falls but I'm sure you could find it on line. As for acrylic you can pick it up at Loews or Home Depot.

The plastic at hd and lowes is garbage even for baffels. Don't use a syringe to apply #4 or #3 you need the $2 applicator with a fine needle tip. Use a regular syringe for #16 and #40. What glue you use depend on what your gluing. If the sump is thin cheap extruded then use #4. If its good quality use #3 or #40. You can use #16 on either which by the question asked sounds like it may be best with your experience level. #16 is thick like glue. It will not dry bubble free. If the sump is cheap extruded it may craze the wall.

My last sump was built from acrylic from Lowes and I had it up and running for 5 years and never had a leak. When I had it completely done, I dropped it in my concrete driveway, cracked the side, glued it back together with #16 and still never had even a pin hole in 5 years, so for me their acrylic worked just fine. My new 30 gal is also built out of the same material, although it has only be running 2 months, I do not foresee any problems, it is all in your build.

Does Home Depot or Lowes carry the correct glue?
Havent looked yet.
Their acrylic is expensive. There is a plastic place in post falls, not sure what they even do. I'll have to check them out and see this week.

I've never seen the weld on products at Lowes or HD around here in Seattle area.
I have found that TAP Plastic is a really good place and will cut to size and only charge for what you get too.

Just checked and I guess TAP Plastics is only in California, Oregon and Washington.

Thanks for the link, I'll check it out and that place in Post Falls too maybe they sell plastic too. =)
