Reed that other valve has brass inside, which is a derivitve of copper. Not so good. So I just found this one that is all plastic and some stainless steel. http://www.purewater4u.com/store/Aquatec.shtml It is down on the page and is 24vdc.

The pintle is just coated like all the rest. A solid SS pintle can't be pushed or pulled with a electomagnet which is what a solenoid valve is. Although I would not run sw through any solenoid most of them are fine for rodi pre and post. I just compared a new one to one that is now 10 years old and can't tell the difference. Absolutely no wear what so ever.

This little thing may be a great option for folks with wetnecks. Put one on and it comes on like 6-8 times per day for a couple of minutes to basicly rinse off the neck instead of running a wet neck all the time. I may look into this one.

What is the disadvantage to running your wetneck all the time? If you don't have it on and then turn it on dosn't it go crazy blowing a lot of extra foam out?
