From time to time, we need to build a steel stand for use on a cement slab. Mainly, garage floors that are sloped. This is how we do it so you can make it level.
First I drill 2 holes through the leg. I then fit the bolt into the leg, and rosette weld it into place. This gives you a much stronger adjustment point. This is what it looks like.
Then you throw down a nice weld, and this is what that looks like.
After that, I weld the bottom of the leg to the bolt, and then it gets all ground smooth, and ready for finish. In this case, Line-X.
