I know this may be a hard question to answer, but I'm looking for opinions. I currently have a MH/T-5 HO combo fixture and I want to change the bulbs around. The reason I want to do this is because I want a bit stronger light spread over the entire tank. With the way I have my aquascaping, I want more light on the front and back of the fixture.

What I currently have:
Outer Orbit Pro 48" that has (2) 250w 14k Phoenix DE bulbs with (1) 420nm and (1) 480nm Actinic in the front of the fixture and (1) 420nm and (1) 480nm Actinic in the back of the fixture. That's a total of (4) T-5 HO Actinic bulbs.

What I want to do:
I want to go with (2) 20k DE MH's and (4) 10-12k T-5 HO's in place of the actinics. I'm hoping that a 20k MH will give enough blue that will not be washed out by the T-5's. In your opinion, is there a MH/T-5 combo that will make this work and still have enough blue to make colors pop? Better ways to do it? Any advice is appreciated.

WOOT! thats the fixture im gonna get for my 75.. soon..

i had a outter orbit 36" 2x250 on my 30 for about 20 min, then i had to return it and get the sunpod... cause i didnt check the width...... anyway

the outer obit rocks and thats what im gonna get

if you set it up like that, the back of the tank will be white and the front blue?

is this hanging?
