I have some algae on the back of my tank that looks exactly like cobwebs. I've been looking, and I can't find anything that looks like it. It really does look just like cobwebs, color and all. Does anyone know if this is bad stuff? I have no cleaning crew, just a clown and a bunch of pods. What eats it? Thanks.

I'll try to get a pic when I get home tonight. I read there are some plants that help suck out nutrients. Do you recommend those? Thanks again. :)

Looks like the starts of Hair to me, I have some brown hair algae in my overflow trough, I just harvest it.
Normally, cleaning, nutrient reduction, good quality Ro/DI, less feeding, GFO phosphate remover helps, It won't be cured overnight.

Looks like dying hair algae to me (derbersia). I would scrape it off and suck it out during a water change. Just in case you should also run some sort of phosphate removing media.

Cheatomorpha is a good nutrient competing macro algae that you may want to look into.
