Air Skimmer Retrofit Suggestions?

Seeing all these great monster air skimmers has inspired me to start thinking about getting one going myself :lol: Here's what I have to work with, Top Fathom 400: 55" tall and 6" wide. Here are a thousand words for you:

I was thinking of getting an Alita pump with a couple 3" Sweetwater diffusers. Any other suggestions for skimmer gurus out there (Mike, Don, et. )?

Hey Todd I read that post in depth a week ago, very nice project, how is it doing after the run in? Anything you would do different? I am about to start my own project but I'm looking at doing the needle wheel option.

It's been working pretty good actually. If I were to do it all over knowing what we know about the newer needle wheel I would do a needle wheel. There are several threads on RC about needle wheel DIY. Bigt did a very nice one as well, check his thread http://www.reeffrontiers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=15351 it is great skimmer, it was pulling crap out my skimmer could only dream of removing:lol:
