Air stone skimmer question

I have been extremely pleased with the production of my air stone skimmer. It pulls out some serious stuff. I just have one problem. When I clean the riser neck, the foam collapses. It takes several hours to come back, even a whole day. What can I do to stop this from happening?

do you wash your hands and make sure you get all the oil off your hands first?

No. Does that nake a difference?

In order to make bubbles, thier needs to be surficants, when you put your hands in the tank, or even feed it puts oils in the tank, these oil pull the surficants off the wate/air interface and thus no bubbles. The time it takes for the bubbles to return is basically the time it takes the suficants to return to that interface.
