Yep, thats where I got them. I run one white and one blue during the day, then just the blue at night for moon lighting. They really do add a nice shimmer effect! I would like to ass another white light on the other side of the tank as well.

I would aDD another light as I dont think an a$$ would do much for the tank. lol

Looks good Tony, somehow I miss the being thread.

I do need to get some new ones up soon! Right now I am fighting something that seems to be wiping out several of my zoa colonies, so the tanks doesn't look too good right now. :( I have not found any sign of nudi eggs, but did find one nudi. I think it is some sort of fungal/bacterial infection. I have tried about 5 different dips, including fresh water and hydrogen peroxide with out any luck. Right now I think I will just wait and see what lives and what dies, and whatever lives should be stonger in the long run I hope.

Hi Tony,
Nice job! How about some updated pictures?

Cheers,
Kevin

I have tried Lugols, Tropic Marine, Furan, Melafix, Fresh Water, and a hydrogen peroxide scrub. Since I can't dip all of the colonies due to their location and rock size that they are on, I think it is a wait and see at this point. And I think some of the dips I did might have killed some of the zoas. Some of the infected colonies have partially died off, with the remaining zoas now opening up, a good sign. That happened to both a treated and untreated colony. Some of the colonies have completely gone away though. I hope whatever lives will be stronger in the long run.

Hi Tony,
Sorry to hear that. Have you tried any of the iodine based dips? They are usually quite effective.

Regards,
Kevin

Updated tank pics / frog fish

Well, I think the zoanthid outbreak is over. I was also battling a maroon turf algae, so I completely re-did my rockwork. I also added a new small black frog fish, he is only about an inch long right now, I don't think I have actually seen his eyes yet, just kind of looks like a black blob, very cool though!

I now have a koralia 3 in the center of the rock work, hope it never needs cleaning :D, and 2 MJ 1200's with rotator deflectors up top for flow.

Still looks great even after the zoanthid massacre! Cute little frogfish! what happened to the rest of the fish you had?

Alot of the zoas are out of the frag tank. The rest of the fish made a return trip to the LFS to be re-homed.

Good news along the frog fish front. After just 2 feedings he seems to already recognize the white net as dinner. I place a feeder fish in the white net and place the net around/over the frog fish. This morning the frog fish got very excited when he saw the feeder fish, and started to flash his little "lure". Once the feeder fish got close, GULP, and I saw was a lttle tail hanging out of his mouth, very cool! Although I still don't think I have seen his eyes, he just resembles a black blob, but very cool in some sort of wierd way!

lol that's neat, what made you want to get a frog fish all of the sudden?

Always thought that they were a cool fish. Also, since I was fighting an algae problem, which I thought mught be due to my tendency to overfeed, I thought a frogfish would be perfect. No overfeedings, just a live fish every couple of days, not sure if it will work out algae wise, but I am hoping!

More Frog Fish pics, man is he getting aggressive at feeding time! He looks dirty because he does not move alot, and the detrius just kind of settles on him :D First time I have been able to actually make out an eye and a mouth.
