Thanks for the suggestions, IPisces. Thinking I may just forgo the skimmer since I am doing 30% water changes each week and then just do cheato in my middle chamber....now I just gotta find someone to buy the skimmer they sent me or maybe keep it for future tank.

A skimmer would also detract from the look of that aio. I would do as you said and see how it goes. Looks good.
