The same could be said for the cleaner wrasse. Yes, they are inexpensive, but they will starve and then die.

I must have had bryopsis as the little guys ate it. Too bad they are neat little critters and a nice solution.

Maybe... but if it looked like maiden hair, it could be worth the try. At least the nudibranch shouldn't be hard to catch if he isn't effective :D

Mark,

I found a good article from Reefkeeping.com that might help you. The last section applies to your situation. Bottom line, this article does not recommend keeping nudibranchs in a reef system.

Another good general article of interest:

Kirk, thanks for the articles... I had not come across the first one which is very comprehensive. The article does admit that certain species could be useful but did not elaborate enough on the specifics so I am still at a quandry as to try a 'lettuce'. I keep monitoring but the maiden's hair is growing and spreading.

Does anybody know what this!!!

Cant figure out what this is. It is in the back of my overflow with no light. It is about the size of a quarter. Has a pink attachment to the acryllic. Has many different arms coming off with balls on the end of it. Thanks!
