Algae Indentification help

I have been getting this stuff in my sand for the last couple weeks and i can't figure out what it is. Any help would be appreciated. It causes the sand to clump up, its kinda weird.

looks like cyno bacteria dont care for spelling much but its fairly easy to cure you can buy red slime remover from most LF stores

no cyano doesnt clump it carpets and can be easily brushed off...
I've heard of clumping sand before but can't remember the cause??

Yea, this stuff kinda reminds me of kitty litter how it clumps... its weird. I have been using a turkey baster to break it up and i just mix it around till the sand has softened up again, but i just comes back like a week later.. It kinda has a really dark greenish brown color to it.

Clumping sand can be caused by low magnesium levels.
