How do you lower the alkalinity when everything else seems to be fine??
Either a water change or it will gradually fall in due time as long as your not adding anything into your water that is making it rise.
It’s possible if too much is dosed too quickly into the system. From my understanding pickling lime is a cheaper form of kalkwasser which if used in a top off fashion should be administered gradually throughout a 24hr period. Like in a drip setup.
My alk is a little to high, maybe I should back off on the lime and see if it drops.
I've never used but have read that its very good for salt water tanks. Pure and clean. If I cant get my hands on RO water can I use distilled?
Thanks for the help! I'm making it up as I goSounds like a good plan!
Ha, ha Fishead don’t we all! :lol:Thanks for the help! I'm making it up as I go
You can but RO or RODI is usually much cheaper! If I cant get my hands on RO water can I use distilled?
Will pickle lime in top off water cause the alk to rise?
