Okay, I need help from the scientists here, I am using AP test kits for now, am swithching over to salifert, but I tested my dkh(?) with AP and it say to x the drops by 17.9. Well it took 23 drops before the water turned bright yellow, which I did and it brings out the grand total of 411.7 which does not even read on the AP chart so I can not tell if alk is to high. please help

Salifert test kits have something in the instructions about multiplying to calculate. It says to EITHER multiply by 16 to get dKH or by 5.71 to get meg/L....OR to use the table. So, you either multiply to calculate OR use the table provided. I just use the table.

meg/l to dkh is: meg/L * 2.8 = dkh
