i would cut back on feeding get your self in to a feeding rutein and see what happens in 2 months

Thanks I have cut back on the food by half. And upgraded my return pump and refugium the algae is on the retreat big time!! I think it had somthing to do with the bio planton I was feeding. I probably feed to much of it and was causing problems. I also discoverd that the chiller I added this summer added 4` of head pressure to my return pump. Giving me only 300 gph  I now have 1300 gph:) I think this is helping everything.

pritty much the bio planton becomes instant waste.... if not eating in like the first 5 min... after inserttion....

Good luck post some pics of the algea on the run

That is a huge difference in the return. I would have never thought of the extra work the pump had with a chiller in-line.

P.S. Burning 2nd is that a Majano? Did you really sell It?

View attachment 18620Ok here is how its looking after a several weeks of cutting back on the food. The first two pictures are of the new refugium and the last two are the main tank. I dont think the refugium is helping much because it has not settled in yet
" only 2 weeks old " Hopefully it works as good as it looks. so I hope I can reduce the algae even more but things are starting to look much better now I have way less algae than I had.:) :)
If you look I also have a new clam. I was amazed how quickly the algae receded. My new return pump is working great and I have cleaned the live rock several times. I have also added a Orange Spot Gobie and he is working the sandbed really hard. He created a sand storm for two weeks when I added him but the sand is much cleaner now:D
MERRY CHRISTMAS everyone.
