I believe this is some type of rock anenome and was wondering if anyone know what it was.

Thanks
Yvonne

he's pretty small at them moment, it's about 1.5'' across.
Do they need to be larger then the fish to eat it?
And do all rock flower anenomes eat fish? or just theones that aren't fed enough?

They can all eat fish and are very unpredictable. I have heard of anemoneds eating fish 3 times larger then their own body, but that is not common... I know of a guy on reef frontiers that lost an angel fish to one...

Does anyone know where I can get some info. on this type of anenome, I've tried searching but have had no luck so far.

Thanks
Yvonne

www.wetwebmedia.com will have lots of info. I happen to have one in my tank that's about 6" in diameter. I'm not sure but think it may have gobbled up my Coral Beauty. I'd always been able to find the CB when I wanted to and one day it just wasn't there. Wasn't on the carpet...wasn't anywhere. A very short time after that, I rearranged my rock work for another reason and still didn't locate it. I've heard that they won't or can't eat shrimp but in the same time frame, I mysteriously lost 3 shrimp. This has been some time ago and I haven't noticed any other possible problems with it. The fish I worried about the most, my Mandarin, is still happy and content. I did go through a stage where I hoped the Flower Anemone would shrivel up and die...but it hasn't yet...lol.
