I wouldnt feed it anymore. Just make sure it has good lighting and decent water flow. Let it be so it can relax. Remember, something was stressing it in october when this thread started. Probably from being new in your tank. Then it got stressed even more from you having to break your tank down and move. It hasnt had time to settle into its new home coupled with a BIG water change, it needs to relax on its own without having food shoved at it.

Ok what I'm about to say only reflects my experience with BTA's.

BTA's seem to like to attach to an overhang or crack that they can pull back into. Also they seem to like good intermittent flow that is above or in front just not on them directly. And feedings not really necessary for overall health I feed mine a couple times a month fingernail sized pieces of raw table shrimp. And 3 of mine are 9-11 inches. Only one of mine bubbles fairly consistently the rest never do. Don't move them to much and only if it looks like they are stuck. I have one that roamed and hid where I could not find him. Then a month and a half later he emerged shrunk and pure white except the tips. I feed him small pieces a couple times a week because I heard the the zooxanthela feeds by some process and gets them going and reproducing. Even if it's not the case that BTA is 3x bigger and 70% recovered. After 3 months. It is a slow process. As far as when to pull them. I have pulled a couple from the brink including my rainbow bta. It was shrunk mouth gaping and bleached. Now it is 11" across and gorgeous. Oh and all of what I said differs between each bta and their personality so to speak. Hope that helps:)

I've had some hit and miss experiences with anemonies.

had some that were hiding in the rocks for months, others like it at the bottom of the tank, and some at the very top right under 150w metal helide 10k with medium flow.
and had a couple that nuked my tank for no reason (just desenegrated and made my water white like milk).
:)

we haven't moved, we found out yesterday we don't have to move now :D
thank fully
this tank has been setup with all my old stuff for 2 months ish, and the anenome is only 2 weeks old ? if that.
im hoping he'll be happier now that i figured out TINY bites,
i will keep everyone updated

should i get rid of the purple light in my fixture? would a blue or white give me more WATTs per gallon?
also does my sump effect the watts per gallon ratio?

When I got this anemone, it looked like this

This is it after about 8 months of taking care of it in a hospital tank, feeding it shrimp every day. If it is not hungry, it wont take it. Just try again the next day. And it was under PC lighting.

NOTED :) I will keep the regimin of small pieces. I felt so bad last night when I realized they had been too big.
thanks again for all the help. I look forward to meeting up with you.

Well like I said I saw him run off last night after lights out. Cannot find him today.
I turned over some rocks where I thought he'd be. I didn't find anything.
I turned over the bottom rock on the very other side of the tank where he was and found a dead snail. But the thing I worried about I found a white slug looking thing by the snail shell. It didn't resemble a anemone in anyway but with all this I'm hoping he didn't pass. The water was clean and clear when I got home from work. The Karen web site said to always know where their at that is why I searched.
Do you think that thing I found was him or a snail. He did eat last night and did look happier. But at lights out he decided to move probably cause I put him aim a higher flow area

Thanks in advance again :(

If the nem ate last night, I doubt that was it. He "should" pop out soon, I hope. At least to where you can see it. Good luck.

When i had a long tentacle purple anemone, stung me to many times so it went to lfs, id feed it silversides and it would suck in and het really dainty. Then once it was ready, itd bloat right back up all healthy looking and take a #2 and sway back and forth.

PICS OR IT DIDNT HAPPEN.
