Hi guys can anyone help here i noticed yesterday that my anoneme seemed stringy and today seems no better this anoneme is usually huge in the tank and all water chem is spot on so a bit clueless really any ideas a couple of pics to look at. mark

What are your nitrate numbers? Anemones are supposed to be sensitive to high nitrates.

sorry for lenght of time retesting the nitrates came out at 5ppm

wow i did not beleave it the reson for the stringy anemones is it has split into two just had a look and yes i have two now

Is that a rose anemone? How long have you had it? I have a rose that has a 10+ inch disk and Im wondering if it will ever split.

i bought it as a bubble tip about 4 years ago but after about 4 weeks the bubble tip went but this kept growing and it must of been about 1ft as a disk it was huge and that no kidding and about nearly the same from base ( foot)to the disk never thought it would happen to my anemone :badgrin:

I think mine is splitting as I type this I have been waiting and waiting and I think its finally happening... Its behind a large rock and I cant get a good pic but it looks like there are two . As soon as they come out I will get a pic...
