Well the 55 is doing pretty well and all the corals seem to be expanding well. Hairy Shrooms which I blundered in getting off the wall of my 10g have flourished into big shrooms in this tank! I am absolutely LOVING this tank! It's doing VERY well despite the greenish dusty algae I am getting instead of my much-wanted coralline. Ah well, I'll keep dripping Kalk and keep crossing my fingers....
Here's 4 more pics of corals in my 55 as they are progressing.....
First up is My mother colony of Xenia Oblongata. This has split into 4 distinct "trunks" now over the past 3 weeks! My guess is it is getting ready to split. I'm not sure what those "bumps" and protrusions are. Anyone know?
Next up is a baby elongata I found stuck on a wall behind the lowest rocks. I took it out of there and put it in this small tupperware container with a small rock which I hope it attaches to like the other elongata I bought before did.
Here is the Elongata I bought from etropicals as a TINY frag like the one in the tupperware container above. It's splitting into three stalks now. Below it is the Yellow Button Polyps with some yellow sponge growing along with them (the whitish yellow stuff in between the polyps). NOTE: Ever notice that one fish seems to like to get in ALL the pictures you take?? Notice my camera hog?
Last, here are the Green Star Polyps that I want to expand onto the arch. I have them set close to the arch. Hopefully they will attach and expand. That growth has been exponential since the move from the 10g to the 55. NOTE: Notice the camera hog again?
Thanks for viewing!!
