I would love for someone to please help me out I have a four foot tank (4 x 2 x2) and need lighting. I have located a 2 x 150w metal halide with 2 x 27w blue actinic compact fluro's would this be enough considering I would like to be able to grow pretty much any coral and put clams on the substrate if not would you recommend 2 x 250w metal halide or could I have a single 400w metal halide floodlight from my local electrical store? sorry to bug you for something like this but I have had a mixed response from different LFS in my area.

Fishdude they are both pretty good, I would say if you wanted to leave yourself open for very light demanding corals down the road the 250's would be best.

i agree with above. Two 250w set up would work out quite nicely. I don't think you would have any regrets if you went that route.
