Haha sorry guys but got another one for ya's!
My Flexi Tube to bulk head fitting is a very tight fit. Will the plumbers cement make it a little easier to slide the tube into the fitting? Because as it is I'm afraid to add the tubing with the fitting attached to the tank. Don't wanna break the fitting or crack the tank.
See pic :)

Not sure I understand your question.
Are you having a hard time just getting the flex tubing into the fitting?

If I was right, the glue should make it slide right in.
Atleast it does for regular pvc.

In the second picture it looks like you were able to get the hose part way in.
Looks as if there are ridges on the hose.
I might want to carefully smooth out the ridges, atleast for the first 1/2" of the hose.

Ok I need more help. I'm wanting to add a ball calve to my 3/4" return hose to control flow if needed. I bought a 3/4" valve but it's loose until it hits the inside rim. Will plumbers glue work?

Hmm, looks like the tubing isn't going to be a slip fit and glue solution.

Looks like you will have to use a hose barb to fit inside the tubing. You will need a hose clamp. I use the stainless hose clamps at lowes or home depot. I read all the time where people say they will rust or corrode in saltwater and crash your tank. But I've been using them for many years and while there may be a tiny bit of rust on it after a year or so, I haven't seen any harm.

THe hose barb will have to screw into a 3/4" connector that has a slip fit on one side and the other side threads.

The hose you have may be a 1/2" inside diameter. Which makes the outside dia. 3/4".
But when you buy a 3/4" valve, where the hose should slip into is actually larger than 3/4".

I would take the piece of hose back to where you buy your plumbing supplies and try and find the hose barb connector that will fit inside you hose.
I'm thinking it will be a 1/2", but you want the other end to have 3/4" threads.
I hope that makes sense.

hose - hosebarb - threaded/slip connector - short piece of 3/4" pvc pipe - valve.

Or you could just forget about the valve for now.
As long as the pump doesn't over power the overflow it would work.

Does the hose fit on the pump?

I'm just going to return this valve to Lowes. Contacted Gla$$Holes and ordered their valve & fittings. Thanks mfinn :)

Yes the hose does fit the pump :) That much I got right :) lol

I was going to post this earlier, but you seem to have it figured out.
This what I was trying to explain what the pieces were and where they went.

The little piece of pvc pipe was already glued into the fitting so I couldn't take it out for the picture.
