Another SeaMax coral ID...

Picked these up on Saturday and silly me thought I'd remember the name. Both are the same (red/gold in the center of top pic, and blue/green in foreground and second pic), and I swear it was something that started with S. When the polyps on the blue/green are fully open, the green is barely visible. Anyone know what they are?

you got it from reef koi i was looking at getting some

I know so little about all the corals, but not to say it isn't sympodium, it just looks like Lepastrea to me, especially the yellow.

You got it DJ, pretty cool coral and just recently pick some up myself. Counting on them to be alot easier to control than GSP, Clove Polyps or Red Sea Xenia sp.

I may be wrong but those don't look like the Sympodiums I have. Also they look more like an encrusting LPS type of coral and the Sympodium is a soft coral. Sympodium is related to Xenia but it does not pulse and it has much smaller polyps.

lepastrea...i think that is it. so much for starting with s, lol. i do have sympodium as well, but this looks very different up close, especially when the polyps are retracted. thank you so much guys!

Dang it, hate it when I'm wrong. Yes, seems to be Leptastrea and is what I have as well. So many awesome corals gotten by members at SeaMax... I'm jealous as wasn't able to purchase any myself.

Being a mod I could go back and edit my reply but, that wouldn't be very fair now... would it... ???
