After a few attempts to contact the manufacture of my Juwel 450 Ltr tank in regaurds to drilling it for an overflow, here is the answer they gave me. I hope this may help others in the future who are thinking of drilling this brand of tank. I will be leaving Germany next Monday so all I have to do now is wait a month for my tank to arive, hopefully in one piece.

Thank you for your email. Please be informed that FLOATGLASS is used
for our aquaria production - no tempered glass. This glass quality stands
for high load capacity and scratch-resistance. Drilling holes in it is
possible - theoretical. Please notice that this statement is be given
without guarantee.
I hope this helps you and remain with
best regards,

Sounds like they are covering their butts incase you drill and shatter/break the tank. If you are a bit worried about doing it yourself, I'd let a glass company drill it for you and leave them with the responsibilty. Seeing it is not tempered then it shouldn't be a problem at all once you use the right bit and take your time :)
