Curious if I could get float switches locally. I am looking to build my own ATO and don't really feel like waiting for them to ship

a DEEP blue plastic outlet box (lowes)
an outlet (lowes)
outlet cover (lowes)
a heavy power cord from anything ?? (thrift store) I keep old power cords from electrical things that break!
a 9 volt DC converter (thrift store)
12 volt relay (radio shack)
I would rather go get the relay for you so we get the right one.

Ok I'll pick this stuff up tomorrow. DO you have a particular thrift store to get such things?

value village has lots of teh wall wart type converters and any electrical device with a ground post on the plug will work..
The converter should be around 1-2$

And yes I will post pics..

I can diagram it for you! no problem

the switch is optional. if you add a switch just get the double blue box and buy a switch and the cover to go with it.

these were just quickies to show hat to do
Don't mock me Art man.. LOL

Dude, I wasn't mockin'....the diagram helped me as I need to fit the same system in my tank set-up. Nice of you to help Akunochi too bro!
