Any Sales on Salt / discounted shipping?

every once in a while, there is free shipping or discount coupons on salt mixes.

I need big 5 gallon buckets, like the 200 gallon Instant Ocean.

anyone got any sales coupons or links to websites with good prices?


I need some more salt, down to 2 buckets.

I usually order from Drs Foster&Smith.
Right now a 200 gallon box is $42.99
Shipping is $8.99 and that is for as many boxes that you want to order.
Order 2 it's $8.99, order 3, it's $8.99, etc.

On Pet smart .com (I think) you put in the code "FLATSHIP" anytime and shipping like 9 bucks no matter what weight it is.

Or, you can make the trip from the hills (or from the valley, whichever you prefer to call it) down to Barrier Reef in Renton, buy some corals, frag plugs, snails, food or basically anything totalling over $20 and get Instant ocean for $39 all year long.

Drsfostersmith.com had a deal on shipping last month and I bought a bucket of Marin Tropic Pro Reef for my tank, also grabbed two buckets of IO from barrier at their midnight sale last week. I forgot about the deal trido mentioned, can't beat that!

I like that pet place a lot. They are usually close in cost to
Drs fostersmith, but normally shipping is less at Drs..

Right now tho that pet place has 5.99 shipping.. says its for oversized too..

Thanks Trido for the tip on BR, I DO LIKE TO support our local fish stores.

I didn't know they had a "buy $20 and get a bucket of I/O for $39" deal.

I'll have to check into that, and buy 20 gallons of beer at Snoqualmie Falls brewery on the way there or back. PGA amber is yummy stuff, and they sell 5 gallons of beer and fill your 5 gallon keg (2 1/2 cases) for $45. Basically a buck a beer.

Supporting our LFS is always a good thing. I 'd hate to think about having to buy my fish and corals on line or at Petco all the time.

Yep...spend $20 on anything and we discount our regular price of $49.99 to 39.99 for I/O buckets. Due to the Midnight Madness sale we are out of salt until Thursday afternoon when our new shipment arrives.
