any suggestions for RO units?

the DI membrane is expensive and it wastes a lot of water. i have the kent ro/di s "maxima". i like it but it wastes over three times the clean water it produces. i'm not so sure i would go that route again.

I think you are a little confused here... The RO membrane is what rejects the water not the DI filter.

Rejection rate is around 1 gallon produced to 4 gallons wasted. This is normal for ALL RO units.

Your best bet is the combo of the RO/DI water unit as combined it should produce 0 TDS readings.

Ditto on the www.airwaterice.com typhoon III unit
has flush system and pressure gauge and a TDS meter and auto shut off valve and everything to hook it up to the supply line.
