I am a man of MANY hobbies and activities. Anyone who knows me well accepts the million miles a minute I operate at 24/7.

I try to be sure I have several ways to slow the pace down and lower the blood preassure while winding the brain down. One of those activities is occasionally puffing on one of my Briar pipes.

I thought I would put a ping out there to see if any other reefkeepers enjoy a good pipe. Combining the occasional pipe smoke with tank gazing is a combination difficult to parralel.

So what kind of pipe are you smoking? Any fav Tobacco blends?

Other "recreational smokers" Pleaaase refrain from taking this thread somewhere it wasnt intended to go

No pipe but I do like a good Maduro every once in a while. Dont know about tank gazing and smoking, Im not allowed to smoke in the house.

I'm a pip convert from Cigars myself.. I just like the smoke better. My tank is fortunately in my office. I keep it in their as not to have a cinder box for a home ;)

I've never tried a pipe before, but it's on my 'to do' list one of these days. Right now, I am an occassional cigar smoker. I love me a good Monte Cristo! Is puffing a tobacco pipe any different from cigars?

Jeff

The only thing I smoke is my brain trying to figure out the next thing to do with my tank (LOL). Never put anything to my mouth my whole life...No cigars, no liquor... Nothing. Infact, smoke stuffs me up! Cool thread though...I think BigT would enjoy this thread (LOL). He's the only one I've seen or RF so far who has a pic of him smoking one big ole stoggy (LOL) Try topping that one jlehigh...He's gonna kill me for sure for this one, but my wife and I thought the picture was classic! I wonder what's in it?

LOL Krish. That is funny that you are picking on me. That pic was from the famous Hafbrahaus in Munichen Germany. The cigar contained %100 pure cuban...tobacco I swear :D

Hey Jeff. I was a quick convert from cigars. I enjoyed a good "Punch" cigar but the smoke and smell from a pipe is much more palatable IMO AND the smell is much better. My wife actually likes it when I puff on my pipe :)

Oh Mann Krish that is an excellent ressurection. BigT looks like a bigger version of Billy Idol!! lol I'm glad we have guys like BigT serving the U.S..

No doubt...Somebody's got to do it (LOL) Too bad here in the Bahamas all we have is a bunch of pot heads and no-one to serve us :D . Soon the Bahamas will have their own frangrance in car air fresheners...A nice big green marajuana leaf you hang from your rear view mirror!

hmm well one time i tried a cigar that was suppose to have mint flavour (i don't smoke so no clue if it tasted like mint ) i think i have mentioned this before but in mexico city there's a cigars store with all types of flavours and so my grandpa used to go there and buy his cigars.
hmm ohh yeah hot cubans

I like Flor De Jalupa, anything by Drew estate, (really like their Java cigar and the Mayorga, most of thier Acid brands) and I am still trying to get thru a box of Porda Rosa I got, they suck monkey balls.

I've never smoked anything. I've drank alcohol, but never enough to feel anything. Hate to say it, but I can't stand the smell of any kind of smoke; except maybe campfire, lol.

Talk about smoke...Hey, I just remembered I use to smoke some serious stuff. How could I have forgotten. They go for around $250.00 a pop and after smoking it everyone in the area would choke on it...The 2 rear tires on my old 2000 Chevy S-10 SS! Now that's a smell I can enjoy! Nothing better than the sound and smell of some good old rubber burning!

Clay dood you are lucky, alchohol and i don't get along nowdays :D .
ohh yeah and for you hmm hmmhmm... let's get around good fire and sing our campfire song our c a m p f i r e s o n g song and if you think we can't sing it any faster then you are wrong but it will help it if you sing along.. bum bum bum C A M P F I R E S O N G .......:D

My parents used to ride competitive trail when I was a kid; so much of the summer growing up was spent in campgrounds. After the ride ended and everyone got their horses taken care of we used to sit around the campfire and talk about everything. There were a couple of people who had guitars and sang country songs (they were fantastic singers by the way). Of course in the daytime when most of the adults were out riding, us kids would be down at the creek or river fishing or catching crawdads and periwinkles. Those were awesome times. For future reference, never put crawdads in a community aquarium, lol. I believe I've gone and hijacked this thread. Sorry...

My wife actually encouraged me to smoke cigars over cigarettes. She even went out and bought me a humidor. I don't do much of either anymore. Quit smoking cigrarettes over 3 months ago when my boss said that I couldn't do it for a year. Haven't had a problem with it and will be $200 richer on June 9. 2006! :)

BigT - I'm a sucker for cubans. The Dominican Monte Cristos pale in comparison to the Cuban Monte Cristos!

lol that's awesome, i guess for me was when my grandparents and i used to go to Acapulco (its a town in Oaxaca) and we would relax by the beach, i remember my grandpa smoking his cigarret or sometimes his cigar and giving me a little bit of pina colada and telling me to not touch the crabs :D  i really miss that dood.
Anyways Jeff what's up with your wife wanting you to smoke dood :D .
