Littletank,
UWScotch usually has it. That guy is pretty smart. If you two can hook up some how maybe I can help you out with transport. I was thinking with weather the way it is..it would be fairly easy to ship if you conneted with him.
I hope this helps,
Ed
Just spoke with Phil at Coral Beauty, he says they had three cultures in a row contaminated with jellyfish, so they've stopped culturing them for the moment.
Phil said he thought the phyto culture he was using to feed the rotifers might be contaminated with jellyfish eggs/larvae, and the jellyfish were chowing down on the rotifers.
I have plenty. Could maybe get you a live culture. I am currenty making cysts to make delivery easier for people. This may take a month or two to ensure I have healthy viable cysts. I am usually at the PSAS meetings. I am unsure of shipping, I suppose I could load a bottle up with phyto and Rotifers and ship it overnight or second day, this may be expensive, I don't know??
No rotifers, but I am culturing phyto. Usually 2 liters every 10 days or so through the winter. In the summer it only takes about 5 days. In seattle if anyone is interested. Pm me.
Aaron and Mat- I've been working on plans for a phyto reactor setup, but need to run some ideas past people that have more experience. Mind if I drop you a PM or two asking for some input?
totally okay, drop me a line anytime. Phyto is super easy to grow out. Rotifers do not require much more maintenance, but they will crash if not attended to on a daily basis - and that is too much to ask for me.
