Looking through our clubs, here on Reef Frontiers, it appears we have a Central Illinois Marine Aquarists club, though I'm not sure that "Central" would be close enough, for what you're looking for. Here's a link to their forum.

i live about an hour from chicago in southwest michigan, new club starting here. Been to a lot of the stores in Chicago, but generally get all my stuff from Happy Coral
