As long as it is broken down, this is the time to build an internal overflow.
I have cut 1000s of LF of glass, drill 100s of small holes, never a larger one but have the general idea :>)

I have some small diamond bits that I have used to make about a 1" hole in glass with a Dremel tool. Basically, you mark out the hole and use the Dremel like a mini-router to trace around the edge. I made a serviceable hole after practicing on some glass jars. You can't make a perfect circle but you have a little slack if you are using a bulkhead fitting.

The bits (and Dremel) are available if you can't locate a hole saw of the required size.

I'm in Shoreline.

I have a 60mm bit at home. its for 1" HD bulkhead. The 55mm works for the 1" standard. FWIW, in less than a week and for less than $11 you can get one off of E-bay.
