Anyone know any good lfs

Hi everybody,im new to this forum. I'm hoping that someone can recomend a lfs in the long beach area that sells good Live Rock,or anywhere near long beach.

Hi,

This is kind of far but I have gotten some really nice live rock from
Coral and Fish ReefCollection. It is on 3814 South Bristol Street. Santa Ana 92704. If you get off the 405 at bristol go past South Coast Plaza and it is on your left. You have to turn into a parking lot to see it. They have lots of really nice coral and inverts too. I would call first about the live rock although they have always had well cured live rock and sometimes uncured live rock. I have been very happy with the lr from there especially.

Well, I am no live rock expert but I think they have been getting Tonga deepwater, branch and shelf/slab. When it comes in "fresh" it is very colorful purples, greens, oranges and has some beautiful very small coral skeletons on it. As it cures it looses the really bright color but I have found it to have lots of nice critters still. no aiptasia, majano's junk like that. Not that I am saying it would never happen if you get my drift .

I would say fun place to visit...lots to see.

For live rock and live sand I like a place near LAX called Aquatic Outlet. They are open to the public. The rock is always very clean.
