Can someone give me the name and contact info for some good Salt Water Aquarium stores locally. I live in Lynnwood, Wa

Hey James,
Not much in Lynnwood for Reefers. Check out some of our sponsors. Saltwater City- Bellevue
Below Sea Level - U-District
Blue Sierra - Issaquah
Lots of good sponsors online also!
Hope that helps:)

Hey check out Shark Reef in Silverdale and Aquatic Dreams in Spokane...........There is always people ready for road trips.:D

Three stores worth noting in Lynnwood/Everett:

Aquapets, on Everett Mall Way (can't find address or phone #, PM me if you want directions)

They have SW fish, some inverts, very small shop but he sells DT's Phytoplankton.

Pet-Pourri
7207 Evergreen Way
EVRT, WA 98203
(425) 348-9085

They sell SW fish and inverts. I don't really like the staff, but they are someplace to go.

Lynnwood Petco.
For a Petco this is the only one worth stopping in. They actually have healty fish, but no longer sell corals.

All of the shops up here are "tolerable" but are not "good." They are all ran by people who are at least trying, but obviously have a lot to learn, and if you stop by on a day they got a shipment in you can usually pick over stuff before they kill it.

How right you are Desolas. Didn't want to name the above LFS's cause they arn't sponsors.

What about Jones and Co on state street in Marysville?

I' have not been there for over a year so do not know how they are.

Oh yeah, I forgot about the whole not being able to mention another store unless they pay for sponsorship. Whoops, oh well the admin can edit my post if its that big of a deal.

That store in Marysville that used to also have a location in Lynnwood is still there, but it's just as bad as it's always been and the management/ownership has not changed. I don't think anyone with a conscious should shop there IMO. With the amount of loss they have I am surprised they are still selling marine animals.

It's okay to recommend stores that aren't sponsors. There are no rules that say you can't point people to stores that have health livestock. What we try to prevent is commercial posts from stores that aren't a sponsor.

Link to commercial posts F.A.Q.

I agree with Desolas that Petco at Lynwood is the only one Petco that carries healthy fishs. I tried the one at Kirkland and Bellevue, both stores gave me very bad result.
IMO, Blue Sierra is the best among those mentioned. The only thing I hate is it's too too far away from my home. If I have to be there, I must buy something or I will waste my gas money. :)

All I have to say is that it was another wonderful weekend at The Shark Reef. My wife and I make a special trip every 2 to 3 weeks. We love the price and selection of LPSs. They now have a dedicated anenomoe tank. No SPSs but are going to start a small one for the few customers interested. I picked up some Ricordea, another Hammer, 6 good heads, candy cane/trumpet/lowsy nomenclature (I will work on scientific name usage) with 4 good heads for a wonderful price of ______. PM me, not sure if i can post prices. Always a great selection of Frogspawn, 10-15 to choose from, Hammers, Ricordeas, Rose BTA, softies. I only get small frags, 2-5 good heads, no room in my tank. Survive the trip in the car no-problem. I will stop now, just a great reefing experience.
