Hi everyone! Long time since I've been on here but came home today from work and noticed my purple star polyps has a bunch of white round objects attached to it and they are strung together with something. Below is the picture. My inhabitants include 2 sexy shrimp, 1 eviota goby, 2 very small hermits and some snails....figured if they are eggs then it would be from the shrimp.

Shrimp typically keep thier eggs under the tail. Snails usually leave them in strings on the rock work and glass. I would agree that those are some sort of egg and they could very well be from the coral. If you look closely at the picture you can see some on the lower right of the colony down in the polyps of the coral and the eggs are also a blueish purple matching the colony. It also looks like the flow is blowing them all in one direction away from the coral. I'm betting the colony spawned.

Oh, didn't realize that the coral would do that. Was under the impression that it just grew larger and expanded with a mat that it lays down. Interesting...kinda scary to think of the coral spreading around the entire tank like that which will lead to having to get rid of whatever takes hold.

I agree with this conclusion.
